Well! On a lark I thought I would try Vivaldi out because I wanted to get away from Google products and… I’m impressed! At first I was happy enough with the browser than noticed that they also offered email, signed up for that and noticed they had a blog.

Does it get any better than this? I’m glad I switched it all over. Still going over all the settings and options to see what Vivaldi has to offer but I really reallllly like it so far.

The main feature I haven’t verified yet that I’d like to have is an “export blog” function so we’ll see if that shows up at some point.

Other than all that, what a great way to start my new beginning away from Google. I have been reliant upon their email, their calendar, Blogger… It’s… a little much to be giving away this much power to a faceless/soulless corporation of which I have seen plenty of censorship coming out of. Too much control for these guys. All those ads, those skewed search results, the integration…

Still going to have to keep using Google Music it seems. Not sure what else I can use for a service besides that.

Well, so prior to this blog my other one (Blase – made private) has had a nice run of nearly… well, at least 15 years I think. Time to flip the switch and get onto this. Wonder if you can make the blog private… not sure if that’s possible.

Other than all that. Nice job Vivaldi. Let’s hope you don’t get to be as evil and with as many tentacles as Google has. I’ll be keeping an eye on you. (glares)
